The Gordon Research Seminar on Malaria is a unique forum for graduate students, post-docs, and other scientists with comparable levels of experience and education to present and exchange new data and cutting edge ideas.
New tools and strategies are needed to accelerate progress toward malaria control and elimination. To successfully meet this challenge we need a clearer understanding of the complex interplay between the Plasmodium parasite, its mosquito vector and the vertebrate host it infects. The 2017 Malaria GRS will focus on the biology of Plasmodium infection at every stage of the parasite's life cycle. Organised in line with the Malaria GRC, that will host world leaders in the field of malaria, but also non-malaria scientists, this GRS will provide a unique informal forum for graduate students and postdocs to present and discuss their data side-by-side with senior scientists that are at the forefront of their research fields.
