The workshop discusses mathematical and computational methods, techniques and models for P2P network optimisation (as well as applicative scenarios) using inspirations from nature. Nowadays highly dynamic distributed systems are highly complex, sensitive to perturbations, and often behave “unpredictably”. P2P networks are a very good example of highly decentralized and distributed systems.
A behaviour of the networks is optimised using information processing in living systems. Bio-inspired intelligence allows dynamic networks to deal with abrupt changes in load, capacity and environment by using self-organisation, adaptation, decentralised control, distributed decisions making, and parallel actuation. Bio-inspired metaheuristics are a key features in optimization and robustness of dynamic distributed systems with swarming autonomous agents.
