For the last four decades the Gordon Research Conference on Developmental Biology has brought together outstanding scientists from around the world to discuss recent advances in the field. In 2017, a Gordon Research Seminar (GRS) will be held alongside the main conference for the first time. The GRS is a 2-day meeting organized by junior researchers for fellow graduate students and post-docs, providing a friendly and collegial environment for the discussion of unpublished work.
Much like the main meeting, the scientific focus of the GRS is broad but particular emphasis will be placed on the cell biology of development and tissue maintenance. This will cover classical areas of interest such as pattern formation, signalling and growth control, with a focus placed on the application of novel techniques and methodologies.
