Quark Matter 2017 is the XXVI international conference on ultrarelativistic heavy-ion collisions. The aim of this conference is to bring together theoretical and experimental physicists from around the world to discuss new developments in high energy heavy ion physics. The focus of the discussions is on fundamental understanding of strongly interacting matter at extreme conditions formed in ultrarelativistic heavy-ion collisions which relates to the state of the early universe.
Following the previous Quark Matter conference in Kobe, Japan in 2015, the current meeting will be held in Chicago from February 5 to February 11, 2017. Recent meetings have taken place in Darmstadt, Germany 2014 and Washington D.C., USA in 2012. Details concerning prior meetings are available using the previous QMs link available in the left menu
