Quantum Science Symposium (QSS) Europe-2016: This is our Sixth international symposium in the physical sciences series. The first was held in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA on September 26-27, 2011, which was inaugurated by MIT Physics Nobel Laureate Professor Frank Wilczek. The second meeting was held at the prestigious Peterhouse (college) of the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom on November 1-2, 2012, which was presided by Professors David Ritchie and Stephen Blundell of the University of Cambridge and Oxford respectively. The third one was held in Waltham, Massachusetts in combination with Crystal & Graphene Science Symposium on September 4-5, 2013, which was presided by Nobel Laureate Jerome Friedman and Professor Mildred Dresselhaus of MIT. The fourth (and the first) QSS-Asia was held at the University of Tokyo, Japan on November 22-23, 2013, which was presided by Professor Jaw–Shen Tsai of RIKEN, Japan. The fifth QSS-2015 was held in combination with Crystal & Graphene Science in the vicinity of Harvard and MIT in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA on September 21-22, 2015, which was presided by Professors Amar Yacoby, Philip Kim of Harvard and VladanVuletic and Eugene Fitzgerald of MIT. The purpose and scope of this symposium is to provide a forum for the discussion of the current state of the art of rapidly evolving Quantum Science, Crystal and Graphene fields. The branch of quantum spintronics, quantum computing and Graphene electronics has attracted a much attention in recent years from both academic and industry laboratories, so we combined and grouped into ‘Quantum Science.’
