It is our honor and great pleasure to host the IUPAC International Conference on Advanced Polymeric Materials: Commemorating the 40th Anniversary of the Polymer Society of Korea (PSK), which will be held on October 4 - 7, 2016, at ICC Jeju, Jeju, Korea. This conference will be an attractive event with 5 plenary and more than 200 invited lectures by renowned speakers from all over the world. It will be an open forum for participants engaged in polymer synthesis, polymer physics, polymeric materials and polymer engineering. We are expecting about 2,000 participants and 1,400 oral and poster presentations as well as exhibitions in this conference. We are sure that it will be a valuable chance to obtain insights and new perspectives for polymer science and engineering. We are fully confident that all participants from academy or industry will benefit a great deal from this opportunity of scientific exchange provided by this conference.

The Polymer Society of Korea (PSK) was founded in 1976 and currently has around 3000 active members. We are proud that members of PSK have contributed a lot in the dramatic development of Korea economy for last 40 years. Now we are gladly celebrating its 40 years of contribution to the development of polymer science and technology of Korea, by hosting a great conference of IUPAC-PSK40. The conference will be held in Jeju island, the largest island in Korea, which was granted UNESCO World Heritage site status because of its unique and beautiful natural scenery. Beautiful beaches, waterfalls, cliffs and caves lie in harmony, and the mild weather makes Jeju an even more ideal tourist destination. We believe that all the participants can enjoy the beautiful natural scenery as well as the scientific programs by attending IUPAC-PSK40.
