Compute, is a peer reviewed conference series held in India under the aegis of ACM India. Every year it is hosted by one of the ACM Chapters in India. ACM Nagpur Chapter will be hosting Compute 2014, the seventh in the series, at VNIT Nagpur, Maharashtra. The dates shall be 9th to 11th October 2014.
The conference will consist of the following two tracks.
Track I – Information and Knowledge Management
The purpose of the Information and Knowledge Management Track of the ACM Compute conference is to identify challenging problems facing the development of future knowledge and information systems, and to shape future research directions through the publication of high quality, applied and theoretical research findings. Topics of interest in this track include, but are not limited to:
- Data Management and Databases
- Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing
- Data Mining
- Text mining: Extraction of Sentiments, Opinions, Entities, Facts and Events
- Text Summarization and Classification
- Structured-unstructured Information Integration

- Machine Learning for IR, Semi-Structured IR

Track II – High Performance Computing
The purpose of the High Performance Computing Track of the ACM Compute conference is to address, explore and exchange information on the state-of-the-art in high performance and large scale computing systems, their use in modeling and simulation, their design, performance and use, and their impact. Topics of interest in this track include, but are not limited to:
- Parallel and Distributed Algorithms/Systems
- Parallel Languages and Programming Environments
- Hybrid Parallel Programming with GPUs and Accelerators
- Load Balancing, Scheduling and Resource Management
- Resilient/Fault-Tolerant Algorithms and Systems
