The Bioorganic Chemistry Gordon Research Conference, established in 1992, brings together highly diverse scientific disciplines that interface chemistry and biology. The attendees, drawn from industry, academia and other research institutions, convene to discuss broadly applicable techniques and approaches, including cellular and molecular processes, drug discovery practices, application of new techniques to understand chemical biology, new target identification and interdisciplinary research tools and probes.
The 2014 meeting will broadly focus on the impact of bioorganic chemistry on global challenges, with specific sessions on synthetic biology, natural products, metabolic engineering, biotransformation, drug design and efficiency, biopharmaceuticals, biofuels, global health, and chemical biology tools. Conferees are encouraged to present posters. Poster presenters should submit an abstract with their applications on the GRC web site. A number of poster presenters will be invited to present short talks. As this meeting usually oversubscribes, submission of applications in early 2014 is strongly encouraged.
