Scope:TRON Symposium (TRONSHOW) reports on activities which aim at realizing the vision of "Computing Everywhere", i.e. the IoT (Internet of Things), or ubiquitous computing environment based on the open approach including "open architecture", "open API", and "open data". The symposium will introduce the basic technologies that realize the Open IoT (IoT Aggregator and IoT-Engine, for example), the latest development environments, and new IoT applications including the ones that use open data to solve real world problems such as disaster relief, tourism, transportation and environmental problems. The latest research of ubiquitous computing, the IoT and embedded systems are presented. For embedded computing, open standard development environment will be introduced including the RTOS (ITRON, T-Kernel, and IEEE 2050-2018), middleware, development environments, and application examples such as mobile information devices and network-connected consumer appliances.
