The main targets of our conference is to elaborate and futher develop items which need geospatial information, cartography, remote sensing of photogrammetry to improve existing solutions, make them understandable and accessible for people and attach really smart, i.e. higher quality solutions than before. The question of early warning(EW) and crisis management(CM) in big cities is still not analyze enough. There are not existing methodologies and practices which will offer efective solutions, care and help to inhabitans. There are still not education and training processes to create „cultures of living in disaster risk situations“. Organizers would like to open mentioned questions by papers of participants and in Round Table. Conference tries to highlights all that aspects with an intention to create progressively higher quality, the smart quality solutions.
Main Organizers:
Shenzhen University (SZU) is a public university established in 1983 located Shenzhen, China’s pioneering city of reform and open-up. Shenzhen Key Laboratory of Spatial Smart Sensing and Services, chaired by Professor Qingquan Li (SZU President), dedicates to the formation of an international cross-disciplinary research team, a high-level research center and an efficient achievement transformation base for spatial information and coastal geo-environment monitoring, to achieve high-quality academic publications, technology innovation and high-tech services
ICA Commission Cartography for Early Warning and Crises Management was first in effort to radically improve quality of decisions with assistance of geospatial data, their visualization according to needs of decision makers but contemporary users and inhabitants. Together with Laboratory on Geoinformatics and Cartography, Department of Geography, Faculty of Science, Masaryk University, located in Brno, Czech Republic the new methods of so call Context-based and Adaptive Cartography were developed.
Shenzhen City Hall is famous with introduction of new methodologies and technologies in the management of fastest develop city in the World.
Chinese Academy for Surveying and Mapping(CASM) is key player in spatial data collection and map production for all China. The CASM was established in 1959 and affiliated to the State Bureau of Surveying, Mapping and Geographic Information (SBSMGI). CASM is the largest multi-disciplinary, comprehensive research institution, the class A national surveying and mapping organization, the national public good research organization of the Ministry of Science and Technology (MST) and has passed the authentications of the Quality management system ISO 9001:2008.
