Education 4.0 raises challenges for our future learning, especially when global connectivity, smart machines and new media are deployed in our everyday practices. These media have frequently deployed by our millennial students in their learning activities. The “classical learning activities” then reshaped into a form that high order thinking skills holds significant factor in education 4.0. However, this has been perceived as the impediment, especially for teachers who still cannot cope with the challenges. This phenomenon needs deep-seated investigation as high order thinking skills should be reflected in the learning process. For those who have been impeded by the technology advancement should spur themselves to catch up with what has been left behind.
Such phenomenon has certainly influenced what and how students’ learning evaluation is conducted. In this light, what to test and how to administer a test is very much affected by the advancement of technology in the millennial era. Otherwise, the alignment of test material and test activities will potentially be lacking. This in turn may affect the achievement of learning outcomes.
Our 2nd International conference will address these issues as bridging assessment is seen as an important step to be taken to improve learning outcomes. We invite scholars, educational practitioners, researchers, teachers, students and others who have deep concern on the subjects to have fruitful and effective discussions and contributions to answer the challenges.
