An ultra-low power system-on-chip (SoC) for Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) with embedded flash and on-chip bulk DC-DC converter is presented. The SoC achieves RX sensitivity of -95dBm and maximum output power of 0dBm. The on-chip T/R switch and impedance matching network allow 50Ω antenna directly connect to the RF single-ended input pin. From a 3V supply, the total system draws 5.8mA in TX and 6.8mA in RX while running the BLE protocol. The chip is fabricated in 55nm RF CMOS technology.
