A sense-FET-based inductor current sensor for a buck converter operating at 30 MHz switching frequency is reported in this work. The proposed sensor with cross-couple structure and improved Miller compensation features over 200 MHz unity gain bandwidth (UGB) while guaranteeing enough phase margin. With this ultra-wide bandwidth, the response time of the sensor is greatly improved and settles within 4 ns.
