We report the highly controlled enhancement of fluorescence emission from high efficiency quantum dots (QDs) excited by localized surface plasmons (LSP) on nanostructured metal surfaces. The fluorescence enhancement foctor was controlled by tuning the excitation wavelength, metals LSP resonance bands, the thickness of QDs film and the gaps between QDs and metals.
