After the great success of our first meeting in 2015, it is a great pleasure to invite you to the 2nd International Symposium on Tumor-Host Interaction in Head and Neck Cancer from 25 to 27 January 2018 in Essen.
This time it will be a joint meeting together with the 3rd International Symposium on HPV Infection in Head and Neck Cancer thus taking onto account the fact that infections with cancer-causing human papillomaviruses (HPV) are becoming more and more common among patients. Additionally, our congress continues as well the series of annual meetings on experimental head and neck oncology in collaboration with the Working Group Oncology of the German Society of Oto-Rhino-Laryngology, Head and Neck Surgery.

Again, we will gather international experts on an emerging and relevant topic in head and neck oncology in order to exchange and discuss the most recent developments in the field. With the help of our international advisory board, we compiled a state-of-the-art program and updated information will be provided via our website. The conference will bring together young and senior scientists to encourage a lively exchange. Innovative topics in Head and Neck Oncology will be presented and discussed by renowned invited speakers from all over the world. We are convinced that this meeting will help to intensify scientific cooperation in the future.

The symposium will be held in Essen, the centre of the Rhine-Ruhr area, which will serve as a wonderful venue for this conference and guarantees both, high-level scientific discussions plus relaxation and exploration of the history of the Ruhr area.
