The XXVI Edition of the MBF Conference will be hosted at the University of LUMSA - Palermo (Sicily) Campus. As a special feature, MBF will jointly launch the Ferdinand Pecora Prize for the Regulation of Banking and Finance. The Prize draws on the fact that, before migrating to New York, the prosecutor leading the famous Pecora Hearings was born in Nicosia (Sicily). The Prize goes to scholars/officials who have striven in innovative ways to improve regulation and curb financial instability. This year’s laureate will be Andrew Haldane, Chief Economist of the Bank of England. Luigi Federico Signorini (Bank of Italy’s Deputy Director General) will deliver the praise speech.
