The Department of Finance and Accounting at Silesian University, School of Business Administration in Karviná holds a traditional meeting of academic and business professionals in the area of finance and banking. This year particular attention will be paid to the rethinking risk in financial markets and institutions. We welcome papers focused on various subjects in finance and banking.
Best papers presented on the conference will be considered by the partner journal Czech Journal of Economics and Finance – Finance a úvěr to be included in special issue.
Selected papers presented on the conference will be considered for publication in reserved slots in regular issues of the journals indexed in Scopus, Academic OneFile, EconLit, Repec and many other databases and lists.
Furhermore, papers presented on the conference can be included as chapter in the book published by Palgrave Macmillan Publisher within the series Palgrave Studies in Risk and Insurance edited by Maurizo Pompella.
¥10,000 (Japanese yen) to be paid at the registration table at the conference venue. A special registration fee of ¥5,000(JPY) is available for full-time graduate students. The Center for Risk Research (CRR), Faculty of Economics, Shiga University (Japan) invites you to submit a paper for presentation at the 1st International Conference on Risk in Economics and Society, Shiga University (RESSU), celebrating a newly launched faculty of Data Science on the same campus. The CRR was established in 2004 for strengthening the Faculty of Economics’ commitment to this important field of risk in economics and society. The CRR has organized several international conferences in the past few years, including the 12th International Conference on Asian Financial Market in January 2017. The 1st RESSU conference welcomes both theoretical research papers and empirical research papers on topics relating to risk in Economics as well as in broader social science. We strongly encourage international scholars to submit research papers in the following fields in economics: macroeconomics, microeconomics, international economics, and environmental economics. We also welcome papers in data analysis and social psychology.
The conference theme of the year 2017: Asian Economies in the Globalized World This year, we especially solicit research papers investigating the relation between Asian economies and developed economies (i.e., US and EU in the northern hemisphere and Australia and New Zealand in the southern hemisphere) and between Asian economies and other developing/emerging economies. Papers need not necessarily be confined only to the Asian regions. We also welcome papers that have more broad implications to other parts of the world as well as to Asian economies. Enjoy our conference in cozy autumn season in a traditional Japanese town of Hikone, Shiga, Japan. The deadline for a full paper submission is August 18, 2017.
