Ubiquitous (pervasive) computing, which is considered as the third and newest generation of computing, seeks ubiquitous (every-time/ every-where) provisioning of services to users. The first and second generation of computing were mainframe and personal (distributed) computing, respectively. According to Mark Weiser’s anticipation, 2020 is the year of comprehensive realization of ubiquitous computing. While we are approaching this year, this question appears that what the fourth generation of computing is?
The “International Workshop on Next Generation Computing” (NGCom 17) will be held in conjunction with the MobiQuitous 2017 in Melbourne, Australia on November 6, 2017. The aim of this workshop is to gather researchers in the emerging area of next computing model to exchange knowledge and ideas. and discuss the practical solutions, and introduce future research directions to help the researchers of this subject.
Topics of interest are included but not limited to:
Future generation of Ubiquitous computing
