The Workshop on Computer Vision for Microscopy Image Analysis (CVMI) will be held on July 21st, 2017 in conjunction with the CVPR 2017 conference. It is focused primarily on analyzing microscopy images of samples and phenomena related to human health. High-throughput microscopy is essential to research in biology and life science. In fact, it has become the main source of data for scientists to test hypotheses related to cellular and molecular phenomena. There is a strong need for effective and efficient computer vision algorithms to analyze the increasingly large image data. Although there have been investigations on microscopy image analysis in the CVPR community, it is timely to draw more visibility and interest to this challenging yet fruitful field, and establish a platform to foster in-depth idea exchange and collaboration. The proposed workshop is a continuation of the successful CVMI@CVPR 2016 that attracted about 50 attendees from academia, industry, and government. The CVMI@CVPR 2017 aims at learning and information exchange during keynote presentations, student presentations and a poster session while reaching the broader computer vision community at CVPR.
Authors are invited to submit original and innovative papers. The topics of interest include but are not limited to:
Image calibration
