A Novel Multi-band Metamaterial High-Absorbptivity Absorber for S & C Band

In this paper, we report the design, analysis, and simulation of a multiband metamaterial absorber using HFSS. The proposed absorber is composed of four structures and a metallic background plane, which are separated by FR4 epoxy substrate. The absorber presents 99.58% absorption at frequency 3.64 GHz, 99.69% absorption at frequency 3.80 GHz and 99.19% absorption at frequency 5.78 GHz. The results of the proposed absorber appears to be promising for fixed-satellite (space to earth), mobile (except aeronautical mobile), and radiolocation. The electric and magnetic field distribution plots have been illustrated to analyze the absorption mechanism of the proposed structure.
