Tunable dual-wavelength operation of external cavity diode laser coupled with volume Bragg grating and chirped volume Bragg grating has been demonstrated. Maximum output power of up to 1.96W has been realized from a single emitter laser diode in a double gratings external cavity configuration. By adjusting the position of chirped volume Bragg grating resulting in linear variation of the Bragg wavelength, dual-wavelength operation can be achieved. One of the two wavelength modes is locked at 808.6nm, another can be tunable from 800nm to 815nm. A difference frequency step offset in the range of 0.16–3.99 THz was observed.
