This paper aims to study the multi-scale method, which provides a theoretical basis for the analysis of composite materials in engineering application. In order to deal with the problem of inefficiency on modeling composites, the multi-scale modeling using the Generalized Method of Cells(GMC) for the composites laminate structure is proposed. On the basis of the theory, the program of plastic stress analysis is compiled with Fortran for microscopic analysis. The finite element model of composite laminates is built in ANSYS/LS-DYNA, combined with program, which can be used to forecast the stress-strain curve of composite laminates under transverse tensile stress. As a result, the multi scale method based on GMC is used to predicts the stresses influence on stress–strain behaviors of fiber-reinforced composites effectively.
