Emaad Khan / Fast-National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences
We investigated the impact of harassment on campus on academic performance and psychological distress. Data was collected from a sample size of 150 university students (N=150) of Islamabad, Pakistan. Results of our research indicate that there is no impact of harassment on academic performance and on psychological distress. We tested regression and correlation. The findings of our study were surprising however we believe that this research will be beneficial for all institutions and universities, as it would show whether harassment happens or not and even if it does happen whether students are impacted by it academically or psychologically. This research shows that this is not the case, they are not impacted by harassment or do not want to share the right information due to social or religious inhibitions or norms.
