The paper introduces a detection system for temperature around machine tool because detection and analysis of accuracy on a precise micro-machining machine tool is required. The detection system is designed based on a single-wire-bidirectional temperature sensor. It can record plenty of temperature data during a long time every fixed time interval. A flash memory and a soc chip are adopted in the system. The soc chip can process both digital signal and analog signal. Experiments have been done to detect the temperature around machine tool every ten minutes during 72 hours. All of the temperature data are sent to PC and recorded in an excel file. The curve of the temperature variance gives important reference information for accuracy analysis on machine tool.
