Named Data Networking has been proposed to define a new communication paradigm for Future Internet architectures where the content itself becomes the core of communications rather than the address or location. However, NDN can run over anything, including IP, and anything can run over NDN, including IP. Accessing content mapping from what users care about to the network’s where. In this paper, we focused on the naming structure and routing design, and analyzed content name processing and content distribution, etc. The NDN is built on protocols to provide content-based routing, security and transport functionality without relying on the TCP/IP protocol suite.
