摘要
Hydrogen-producing offshore wind turbine (HP-OWT) represents a highly promising approach for efficient offshore wind power harvesting, with its power smoothed by green hydrogen production. The fluctuating power is shared between the power grid and the electrolysis system. The power conversion efficiency is an important index of the HP-OWT performance. Therefore, this article aims to illustrate the impacts of power fluctuation on both the converters and the electrolysis system and propose an efficiency improvement strategy. The power conversion efficiency model of HP-OWT considering the dynamic response is established. Then, the impact of power fluctuation on the HP-OWT is studied. It has been found that the power conversion efficiency in HP-OWT can be damaged by totally sending the fluctuating power into the electrolysis system. An efficiency improvement strategy based on power averaging is proposed. The simulation validation shows that the proposed efficiency improvement strategy is effective in HP-OWT.
