摘要
Nonlinear Compton Scattering (NCS) is a process of scattering of laser photons from energetic electrons in the presence of intense laser field. Several new facilities are planned to provide high brightness monoenergetic photons in X- and gamma-ray domains. NCS can help to drastically increase the number of generated photons, however one needs to be able to control the ponderomotive line broadening. In this presentation current progress in NCS and prospects of using it in next generation facilities will be discussed. Ideas how to compensate ponderomotive broadening will be presented and their future implementation details will be outlined.
