摘要
The induction synchrotron, which introduces an induction cell in a synchrotron in place of a radio frequency (RF) cavity, is released from low-frequency limitation and capable of accelerating long pulse beams. The key technologies of an induction synchrotron are MHz induction cell and bipolar high-voltage pulse source. Two ways of connection between the two are available, namely by wires or by coaxial cable. The former leads to lower power dissipation and smaller volume, while the latter leads to better acceleration voltage waveform flat-top. Integrating the MHz induction cell with the bipolar high-voltage pulse source has the potential to solve the oscillation problem of wire-connection topology. In this work, a preliminary design of the integrated MHz induction acceleration cell with a bipolar high-voltage pulse source is proposed, based on the following parameters: MHz repetition, 2 kV acceleration voltage, and 1 A beam current. We have designed the circuit, heat dissipation, and cell structure, and analyzed the acceleration voltage waveform and the temperature increment of the power chips. The results show that this integrated induction cell can meet the parameters above.
