摘要
In the background of global warming, carbon cycle and carbon accumulation have received extensive attention. Lake carbon accumulation is an important part of the terrestrial carbon cycle. The Tibetan Plateau is sensitive to climate change, and has the highest elevation, largest number and widest area of alpine lake groups. There is a huge amount of carbon accumulation in sediments, which is a key area for the study of lake organic carbon accumulation. Most of the existing studies focus on lakes in the eastern part of the plateau, but few on lakes in the western part of the plateau. So it is difficult to comprehensively summarize the temporal and spatial distribution of carbon accumulation rate (CAR) in lakes of the Tibetan Plateau and its influencing factors. In this study, 33 lake cores were collected from the Tibetan Plateau, including 15 from western lakes. We calculated the CAR for each lake during the Holocene, with an average value of 6.13 g Cm-2yr-1. The lakes are divided into two categories based on clustering analysis. The two types of lakes are distributed east-west in the Tibetan Plateau. The CAR of the eastern lakes is closely related to the changes of temperature and precipitation, while the CAR of the western lakes is mainly affected by wind intensity. This difference is due to different sediment and TOC sources.
