摘要
The special design of linear induction motors (LIMs) leads to negative effects caused by the ending impact. This ending impact attracts attention towards the thrust control of linear induction motors because its value decreases sharply with speed. Therefore, this study proposes a finite state model predictive control with two voltage vectors based on maximum thrust/ampere (T/A). The suggested method can directly control the thrust, lower the ripples for thrust and primary flux linkage (PFL), and increase the LIMs drive system efficiency. A fair resemblance between the suggested (finite state model predictive angle control II (FSMPAC II)) method and the previous method, which is based on one voltage vector (finite state model predictive angle control I (FSMPAC I)). A simulation study is presented based on MATLAB software to depict the merits of the proposed FSMPACII over FSMPACI. Finally, an arc induction machine is applied to demonstrate the suggested method's correctness.
