摘要
Purpose/Aim
Electromagnetic environment is an important part of the living environment of all animals and plants on the earth. The interaction between plants and electrical discharge has been maintained for hundreds of millions of years, however, the effects of electrostatic stimulation on plants have not been fully understood. In this work, the electrostatic induction generator is used as the main experimental equipment and two common plants (Pisum sativum L. and Epipremnum aureum) are used as the object of study, in this way, the effect of electrostatic stimulation on plant growing and plant foliage are investigated preliminary. Test results indicated that a certain degree of electrostatic stimulation will promote the germination rate of seeds, but too much electrostatic stimulation will inhibit the germination rate of seeds. Moreover, electrostatic stimulation could promote the phenomenon of stem overgrowth of seedlings, but had little effect on root length. When the plant foliage was dried, it was found that the mass of plant foliage decreased faster under electrostatic stimulation. Finally, in the study of plant photosynthesis, it is found that the electrification of plant foliage may accelerate its absorption of CO2. This study is a preliminary exploration of the interaction between plants and electrical discharge, in order to expand people's understanding of the interaction.

Results/discussion
Test results indicated that a certain degree of electrostatic stimulation will promote the germination rate of seeds, but too much electrostatic stimulation will inhibit the germination rate of seeds. Conclusions
This study is a preliminary exploration of the interaction between plants and electrical discharge, in order to expand people's understanding of the interaction.
