New high conductivity aluminum alloy conductor material design and production process

摘要
Uhv (ultra-high voltage) transmission line is the lifeline of the national economy, which is related to the national economy and people's livelihood and national security. Overhead wire is an important carrier of power transmission in Uhv power grid. In this paper, a reasonable high-strength aluminum alloy formula system was selected by Taguchi design and X-ray diffraction (XRD) to get content of Mg and Si, we have conducted the microstructure studies on the influence of Ti element for aluminum alloy conductors manufacturing process by using metallographical as well as scanning electron microscope (SEM). The result shows that the content of Mg=0.60±0.005%, Si=0.55±0.005% and Ti=0.03±0.001%, the comprehensive performance of high strength aluminum alloy wire is the best, which the tensile strength of aluminum alloy single wire is 326MPa, resistivity is 0.031076 and the elongation after fracture is 8.0%. From microstructure the higher Ti content the gains are finer but resistivity is also higher. So, this work provide guideline for the designing aluminum alloy of tensile strength, elongation and resistivity for overhead conductors.
