The cable conductor temperature measurement method based on reconstructed temperature field

The temperature of cable conductor is an important parameter to characterize the running state of cable. Directly placing temperature measuring elements in the cable will destroy the cable structure and become a hidden danger of cable failure; the cable skin temperature is easily affected by environmental factors, so the calculation result has large error. By constructing an artificial temperature field outside the cable, this paper not only improves the temperature gradient of the temperature measurement point, but also makes the temperature of the measurement point very stable, so as to realize the high-precision measurement of the cable conductor temperature without damaging the cable insulation structure. The mathematical relationship between conductor temperature and measuring point temperature is extracted by data fitting method. The comparative analysis shows that the measurement method of reconstructed temperature field has higher accuracy than the traditional method.
