Purpose/Aim
The electronic voltage transformer (EVT) is prone to error out of tolerance and affects its measurement accuracy during its long term operation in power system. This study establish an online EVT measurement error detection system separated from the standard transformer, which can effectively judge the measurement error type and realize the fairer measurement of electric energy.
Experimental/Modeling methods
The method of principal component analysis was used to process the measurement data of three-phase EVT, and the measurement error of level 0.2 EVT was self-detected. Based on the method, the correlation dimension was calculated to determine the measurement error type.
Results/discussion
Experimental results show that this method can accurately judge the error type and self-detection of 0.2 level measurement error for EVT.
Conclusions
In this paper, a method based on principal component analysis-correlation dimension is proposed, which can accurately judge the error type and self-detection of 0.2 level measurement error for EVT, and provides a certain basis for the fault location of EVT in the future.
