Insulated jumper clamps is a common current bypass tool for hot-line work of 10kV distribution lines with load to repair equipment. The overheating characteristics of the insulated jumper clamp is important for the safety of personnel and devices. A 1:1 simulation model of the 2756/SJ1503 insulated jumper clamp is established and the electric-thermal-force multi-physical field coupling method is applied to simulate the temperature rise of the insulated jumper clamp. Analysis of clamps in contact pressure, ambient temperature, light intensity, wind speed and conductor load capacity on the temperature distribution of clamps. The simulation results show that for every 5MPa increase in contact pressure between the clamp and the wire, the interfacial loss of the contact surface decreases by 0.07kW/m2 on average; when light intensity per 200W/m2 rise, the average temperature rise of the wire clamp is 3K.It is indicated that light intensity is one of the main factors influencing the temperature rise of the insulated jumper clamp; influence of ambient temperature on temperature rise of clamp can be neglected; the increase in wind speed has a catalytic effect on the heat dissipation of insulated jumper clamps; with the increase of the wire carrying capacity, the temperature of the clamp shows an exponential form of growth, and the current density of the clamp between the contact surface is distributed at both ends of the contact surface, and the current density at both ends is uniformly distributed.
