Statistical Evaluation of non-edible Millettia Pinnata as a Liquid Insulation for Transformers

The oil samples, Millettia Pinnata Oil (MPO) and Mineral Oil (MNO) are aged using accelerated heating at 100°C for 10 hours for 30 days in heating furnace and the dielectric breakdown voltage of the samples are measured according to the standards of International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) Number 60156. The test data is considered to develop mathematical functions using the Lagrange’s and Gaussian equations. Further, the data is employed to determine the survival/hazard rate of the samples. Further, the data is employed to identify the survival rate and hazard rate of the samples and compared the same with the MNO The nonparametric model of the proposed oils was developed to detect the early failures subject to the conventional bathtub curve.
