With the development and improvement of power system, power cable tunnel has been used more and more in power system. A large number of power cables are laid in the cable tunnel, with a large number of cable joints, and its fire risk is particularly prominent. Due to the uneven quality of the cable intermediate joint in the manufacturing process, there are also problems such as excessive contact resistance and damp insulation or cable core. After long-term operation, the temperature of the cable joint increases, overheating burns through the insulation or explosion produces electric arc, resulting in fire. Cable joint fire prevention is the top priority of cable tunnel fire prevention. According to statistics, the cable joint fire caused by cable joint failure accounts for 70% of the total fire accidents of all cable tunnels, which has become the primary cause of frequent cable fire accidents, caused serious economic losses and posed a great threat to the safe operation of power system. For example, in August 2016, the fire accident of 66kV cable tunnel near Dalian Maritime University in Dalian caused a large area of power failure in Dalian for more than 6 hours, which seriously affected the normal operation order of the city. Therefore, it is urgent to strengthen the fire prevention of power cable tunnel, especially the fire prevention of cable intermediate joint
