Aiming at the problem that the content of acetylene and total hydrocarbons in the insulating oil exceeds the standard during the operation of a 110kV transformer, a bisection plane positioning method based on the UHF is used to accurately locate the partial discharge position. Secondly, the intermittent multi-point ground fault of the transformer core was found through the the windlass cover of the transformer, which successfully verified the accuracy of PD positioning. Finally, the reasons and process of discharge are discussed in depth.
