Grounding current distribution model and calculation of multi circuit high voltage cable

Purpose/Aim

Due to the asymmetric arrangement of high-voltage cables during laying and the unequal distance of each section during cross interconnection grounding, the induced voltage cannot be completely balanced and the grounding circulation is generated due to the laying of multi circuit cables in the same channel. When the flow of grounding ring is large, it will increase the loss and reduce the transmission efficiency and cable service life. Therefore, it is very important to study the circulating current distribution of multi circuit high-voltage cable for cable operation and maintenance.

Experimental/Modeling methods

In order to analyze the circulating current distribution principle of multi circuit high-voltage cable, a three-phase cross interconnection grounding model of single circuit straight-line high-voltage cable is established through simulation, and the model is analyzed and calculated quantitatively;

Results/discussion

The actual three-phase cross interconnection system is built to analyze the sheath circulation.

Conclusions

Through analysis and calculation, the cable circulation distribution model of the actual three-phase cross interconnection system is established to realize the analysis and calculation of the sheath circulation of the actual cable system, and a new method is proposed for the calculation of the sheath circulation of the high-voltage cable system.
