Abstract：Since the implementation of the China’s Western Development Strategy, the transportation system in the northwest China has become more and more mature. It is adding momentum and vitality to the industrial development in the northwest region. Taking the HuBaoYinYu Economic Zone in the northwest China as an example, this paper constructs an inter-institutional coupling and coordination measurement model to measure the coupling coordination degree of transportation, production service and manufacturing industry in the northwest region in 2008-2017, and to analyze the time and space pattern and the development degree of the coupling and coordination of transportation, productive service and manufacturing. The results show that: (1) the degree of development of transportation, productive services and manufacturing has obvious differences in the region. (2) The degree of coordination and coordination between transportation, productive services and manufacturing in the region has gradually improved, and it has improved from a near-disordered and reluctant coordination state to a good coordination state. (3) The degree of coupling and coordination between transportation, productive service and manufacturing in different cities in this region is different in time and space, showing different types.
