This paper studies the early warning of traffic jam. According to the cause of traffic jam on the highway, the traffic jam early warning index system is established. Based on the method of fuzzy evaluation, the possibility of traffic jam is evaluated. Then issue the corresponding early warning signals in the light of the obtained warning level so as to achieve the purpose of predicting traffic jam. Afterwards, Huangyan Expressway was selected to verify the feasibility of the model presented above for empirical analysis. This paper proposes a method about early warning of traffic jam on the highway, which contributes to reducing the probability of traffic jam on the highway.
