摘要
To enhance the driving safety of autonomous vehicles under adverse weather, the weather processing system model is taken for autonomous vehicles based on connected vehicles and the driving strategy could be optimized according to real-time weather. The model uses on-board sensors and traffic information acquisition technology to obtain real-time weather dates and traffic informations dates which would be transmitted to the terminal of the vehicle via short-range communication technology. Meantime the instruction from the terminal is fed into electronic control unit (ECU) to regulate the speed of the vehicle to take account weather and traffic. In addition, the weather-traffic detection device along the road also provides the recommended speed to enhance the driving stability and safety of autonomous vehicles. The result shows that weather processing and analysis system can apply into autonomous vehicles to adapt to adverse weather.
