The finite element analysis of the contact of an asperity was presented, and the contact parameters were analysed by dividing the whole contact process into the elastic region, the elastic-plastic region and the plastic region. In the view of the uncertainty of gradual mutation co-existence of contact parameters in elastic-plastic contact area, the effects of different contact parameters such as contact stress, strain and contact area on contact relationship were considered, and the relevant empirical formulas were fitted. The results showed that in the elastic region, the contact relation obeys Hertz theory. In the elastic-plastic region, with the increase of the yield stress of the material, the parameters relation fluctuated twice in the local region under the condition that the overall trend was constant. The larger the yield stress was, the less obvious the fluctuation was, and the contact relation region tended to be stable in the whole plastic region. In this paper, a group of contact parameter relations with moderate yield stress were selected for formula fitting, and four to seven degree polynomial functions were selected in the elastic-plastic contact region for formula fitting, and relevant empirical formulas were obtained, and compared with ZMC model. Based on the above conclusions, the model of the rough surface of the sphere with a rigid plat was build. The influence between plastic index and the Macroscopic dimensionless contact parameters could be the evaluation criterion of the contact of a rough sphere with a rigid plat.
