This study illustrates the pivotal role of electrochemical data in deciphering the mechanics of electrochemical reactions, enabling the refinement of synthetic methodologies and fostering the development of superior compounds. This work underscores the utility of semi-differential techniques in study electrochemical data, thus enhancing our understanding of the inherent properties of ferrocenes. These techniques are pivotal, offering enhanced signal-to-noise ratios and enabling the detection and characterization of compounds even with minimal concentrations or subdued electrochemical responses. The amalgamation of these techniques with advanced electrochemical methods provides a nuanced understanding of the electrochemical intricacies of the studied compounds. In the work under study, a screening of the redox properties of the obtained electroactive complexes and coordination polymers based of ferrocenyl derivatives was carried out and their electrocatalytic properties were studied by the methods of cyclic and differential voltammetry. Clear leaders for methanol formation from CO2 were identified based on [(FcS)3P]4Cu4 structures. Coordination polymers based on ferrocenyl diphosphinate ligands have demonstrated high efficiency in HER and CO2RR.
