Preparation and Photocatalytic Performance of Ag/ZnO Nanocomposites

In this paper, ZnO is prepared by the polyol method, and the surface of the prepared ZnO is modified. The ZnO/Ag composite material with different Ag content is made by adding different content of silver nitrate, using X-ray diffractometer, field emission scanning electron microscope, transmission Electron microscope, X-ray photoelectron spectrometer, ultraviolet-visible spectrophotometer, etc. were used to characterize the structure, morphology and optical properties of the sample. Finally, under ultraviolet light, the preparation was prepared by testing the degradation efficiency of Rhodamine B solution. The photocatalytic activity of the composite material and its possible photocatalytic mechanism were discussed. Compared with ZnO, the fluorescence spectrum intensity of ZnO/Ag is enhanced,and the photocatalytic activity of ZnO/Ag is significantly improved.
