 ABSTRACT



The paper presents innovative technical solutions used in the mine hoist of the "Janina VI" shaft, which increase the efficiency and safety of work. In the period from January 2018 to August 2021, the Consortium of MOSTOSTAL ZABRZE Gliwickie Przedsiębiorstwo Budownictwa Przemysłowego S.A. in Gliwice and SIEMAG TECBERG Polska Sp. z o.o. built the first mine hoist in the Polish coal mining industry the hoisting machine of which was equipped with a direct drive using a low-speed synchronous AC motor controlled by a frequency converter, as part of the  project entitled “Construction of the target surface and underground infrastructure together with the mine hoist of the “Janina VI” shaft for TAURON Wydobycie S.A.”. In the mine hoist of the "Janina VI" shaft, a number of other modern and innovative technical solutions for the coal industry were applied, such as automatic control of the hoisting machine in the remote start-up mode during mining, transport of people and revision works, gravitational lowering of excess weight in the conditions of emergency hoist power outage, control of the brake system ensuring constant braking delay and equipment for taking transport units from the cage, significantly improving the efficiency and safety of equipment operation.
