摘要
English Teaching Methodology is an important course for English majors and aims to help students to grasp the basic teaching theory and skills for English teaching, preparing themselves well for their future career. The core of the OBE theory is to help students acquire the necessary knowledge, abilities and skills during their learning process based on a reversed teaching mode which is oriented by the teaching outcome. English Teaching Methodology is recreated by designing teaching modules and programs, in order to meet the needs of the society and occupation, to cultivate students’ skills and qualities for a good middle school English teacher. Therefore, many factors of this course will be reformed, including the foreseeability of teaching objectives, reasonability of teaching content, diversity of teaching resources and methods, the science of teaching assessment and so on. This new teaching mode is learners-centered. For the student, it can greatly simulate their learning interest and improve their initiatives of obtaining knowledge. For the teacher, they can optimize the teaching design and improve their methodology and assessment by statistical analysis of teaching outcomes.
