In order to explore exploration potential of biological limestones of Qingshankou Formation of Taikang area in Songliao Basin, looking for a new field of oil and gas exploration, based on seismic attribute biological limestone reservoirs of Qingshankou Formation are discovered in Taikang area. Drilled wells have revealed lithologies of biological limestone rocks are oolitic limestones, shell limestones, ostracod layers and ostracod siltstones. The single layer thickness of biological limestones is thin, generally about 0.2m-3 m. The reservoirs take on vertically multilayer superposition. Its porosity is 9.39% on average, and its permeability is 1.85 mD, which belongs to dense reservoirs. Biological limestone reservoirs are distributed between mudstones, and mainly formed lithologic reservoirs. Meanwhile, this type reservoirs are near to high-quality hydrocarbon source rocks of Qingshankou Formation, and provide good reservoirs for oil and gas accumulation. It shows a good exploration prospects.
