Housing stock transition model for urban microsimulation

Many studies on micro simulation type urban models have been conducted due to the effectiveness against urban problems under the declining population. Existing models are limited in representation on the supply side, such as aging of housing stocks and renewal for increase of housing demand. The purpose of this study is to develop a housing stock transition model for urban micro simulation, and to apply it to actual city. The relevance between housing stock transitions and conditions of land use, transportation, location demands and so on were analyzed based on the database at 2 time points in Toyama City, Japan. Based on these analysis results, model parameters were estimated and the validity of the results was confirmed.
