The jobs-housing relationships has always been the research focus of the urban planning academic community, and its benign development plays an important role in the optimization of urban spatial structure. With the development of location-based service technology (LBS), the massive spatio-temporal data provided by mobile communication (GSM) has made it possible to further explore the relationship between jobs and housing. This paper aims to use the mobile phone signaling data of Guangzhou to describe the overall characteristics of Guang-zhou's job and housing space through the calculation of job density, commuting ratio, commuting distance, and job-housing independence ratio. Four typical job and housing development models have been classified. The research results provide an important reference for un-derstanding the spatial structure characteristics of Guangzhou and provide suggestions for the optimization of urban spatial structure in Guangzhou.
